MYSTERY IN STONE @ BORDE HILL GARDENS 2012

An exhibition of amazing Zimbabwean stone sculptures

entitled ‘Mystery in Stone’ will be held at Borde Hill

Garden from the 28th April to the 9th September 2012.

Thirty-five extraordinary contemporary hand-carved stone

sculptures by Shona artists, encapsulate the four themes

of family, joy, sorrow and rites of passage, depicting their

culture, religious beliefs and everyday life and of course

the political hardships that the artists have endured in the

past ten years. Exhibitions and workshops throughout
